Srajan's tour of the factory, linked above, is a great read. Take minute to check it out if you have any interest in tube gear. I appreciated that they are not government owned or subsidized, and when the article was written (in 2008?) 20% of the employees were the Melody President's own relatives. Employees live on campus and are paid well. His son Alex speaks English and has helped bring the brand out of China. Melody has 380 domestic dealers. China is an amazing marketplace.
When I first saw the Melody intergrateds last week, I thought they looked like Prima Luna's Mystere. Turns out they are made in the Melody factory to get better quality than their own Prima Luna factory, which is also highly rated. Good stuff! Hugh you have a great distributorship there.
