Nice one John. Do you think that will help your WAF?

God no! That is why I mentioned it would be cool for a single guy but a married guy like me would probably not get away with it.

The more I think about I really like the company logo idea.

Or to change it up just a little, this would look cool on my wall.....

I'm thinking there's a business opportunity here... design the panels so the artwork can be easily replaced.  People could change the artwork as they see fit.   How cool would that be?   Different artwork for each season or when you get bored.    For John's single guy - a different girl every month.

While that would be really nice to do, it would make manufacturing interesting to say the least.  We can take a look certainly.

Yeah, I can imagine the complexity (and therefore cost) to do that, but it would help the WAF factor - at least for me.  Bryan, what is the material the prints are being made on?

I really don't know about the material.  I work remotely from the factory and haven't seen one - yet.  I know you have to be pretty careful with fabric to do dye-sub on it.

Can you do some custom work to just do the dye-sub on the fabric and sell the fabric?  I don't need the whole panel.  But I definitely need something like the art panel fabric to go over some stuff I've built and will be building.  We can take it to PM if you'd like to discuss privately.  But I think others might be interested if that is a planned product or something that could be worked out.  I bet we could get enough for a group buy of sorts....

I've been looking for something exactly like this and didn't know of any sources to get it done.

Hi Shane

Sure.  We can do that.  I don't know what the cost would be but it will be a significant portion of the cost of the finished panel given the high cost of the dye-sub printing.

shoot me a PM with what it would be per 2X4 panel.  Will likely need something on the order of 14 of them at least to do a couple rooms.  most will likely be black and white images with a couple color ones mixed in for interest and contrast.  Does the color versus black and white make it easier to do them?

She wants to simulate a number of black framed photographs.  So a price on 2X4 versus 4X4 versus 2X2 that may need to be mixed together to achieve the desired effect.

Is it possible to only do the dye on a portion of the panel so that you end up with a border? (again, going for the picture with white matte like border)

Or is there "overspray" like effect with the dye process that has to be hidden off the edges?

I'd be very interested as well.  I may very well be more cost effective to just buy the GIK ArtPanel but it also sounds like a fun project.   If possible,  post prices here.   Any chance there's a group buy opportunity lurking?

We might be able to work something out for a group buy.

Shane

So all of these will have side frames and you only need 2'x4'?  No extra to wrap?  We can certainly do whitespace around the print.  We can make them pretty much any size up to 4'x6' but we print in one 4'x6' sheet and can do multiple prints on a single.  That's the most cost effective way

I'll talk to Glenn and get some pricing.

That sounds awesome. The large size gets my imagination going... stand clear.

Anything bigger than 2'x4' would have to be the art only.  We don't make the finished panels any bigger.

no wrap... This would be face only.

4X6, huh?  and multiples on the same 4X6....  Hmmmm...  possibilities.....

Unless it's ridiculous pricing, you're getting an order.  Definitely anxious to see group buy pricing...

any news on pricing?  I need to factor this into the equation of how I'm going to tame some of the rooms.  Thanks in advance!
