We were talking about Techtubes going out of biz recently, but a recent article I read about them made it seem that they were carrying on even though the rest of the Mullard CRT factory is kapoot.  Time will tell. Apparently they are not related to phillips.

  Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't those tubes close to $300/ pr. originally ? Now at about $50 US they ae more inviting.
