Damn,, I don't have a Facebook account (and I don't want one either). Then again I don't have an EE Dac plus either (but that I wouldn't mind having). ;)
Cheers,

Robin,
Two birds of a feather as I also am not on Facebook.
I believe you don't even have to have the EE DAC to get in on the giveaway.
Once Carl returns my loaner DAC PLUS I will throw in some op-amps that I like and send it out on a tour.
I see your pretty well set in that department but if interested in a listen let me know.

I would love to get in on a tour... In fact, if there was a way to grab it from Carl for a week... I live close by...
-
Count me in as well.

Me too! :)

I'd love to feed my SB into a nice dac to hear the diff.
-
Please PM me your address's.
Also in the PM your sonic preference. One set of op-amps gives huge soundstage, big bottom end, with great lower midrange, the other set is more articulate and has tighter imaging not as thick a presentation.
Let me know your preferences.
You 4 are in and dj if you can arrange to pick up from Carl( although you won't have the benefit of the upgrade op-amps) your more then welcome to do so or if you want I will have Carl send it back to me and I will install the op-amps and then send to you.
It's up to you.

Gene the difference is night and day. I fed mine into an old Audio Alchemy DAC (which is nowhere near in the same league as the EE gear) and the difference just blew me away. The Stock SB Touch sounded just OK when played through a pair of Paradigm bookshelf speakers. With the external DAC it holds its own through the Thiel 3.5s.

Now I have find things on CD to add to my SB for the dac, and lp for comparison.
And I just realized I have DSOTM on cd/SB, SACD and now the 30th anny. vinyl. And Miles KoB on cd/SB, DualDisc, 180gr vinyl and 200gr vinyl.
There's a whole day right there. And Aja on..........

I'm really not finding it that hard Tom. I'm just not a socal media type of guy. Heck I don't even own a cellphone. Plus seeing how my Havana doesn't use any op-amps, that giveaway is a nonissue for me anywho.
Bill, I'm mulling over another EE dac demo. I haven't really kept track of the Plus so I need to see what's been done that makes it different from the stock unit. I just hate saying no when offered another demo opportunity. :thumb:

OK Bill, I've done a little reading up on the Plus and now I'm curious as I have demo'd the stock EE Dac and am wondering just how much better the Plus really is. Losing the volume control has me smiling big time as I found it to be a concern for me. Also the work on the USB has me curious as that was one area that impressed me when comparing it with my Off-Ramp. I'd like to that comparison again with the Plus so I'm game for a demo opportunity.
Bill, seeing how you're modifying the op-amp for this demo, is there anything you can do along the same lines with the stock Shuguang tube? I know you're a big tubie. ;) I'll pm you with the other specifics,,,, and thanks for this opportunity to once again demo a great (imho) Dac. :thumb:

I might have that long plate Mullard I believe you like so much but it is not for sale as I know this one is quiet and my personal fav as it sound-stages like crazy albeit on the warm side of neutral though.
