Air Motion Transformers

   They have been around awhile. My favorite type tweeter. Apogee Ribbon second, Raven third. Your thoughts please.

Hi Charles,

I love the Heil Air Motion Tranducers, but my favorite has to be, by a small margin, the Hills Plasma helium tweeter in the type 1 speaker.

The Plasmatronic tweeter by a wide margin.  I have never heard a more accurate, effortless rendition of highs in my life.

Alan Hill was well known in the Albuquerque audio scene back in the 80s and was a delightful gentleman.  Unfortunately his speakers could not keep up with the tweeters...

Everything else I have heard or used is trying to get to the airyness of his tweeter.  Some are very close...

Had never heard of these and variations thereof. Ionized air, helium bottles, Nelson Pass....wow.
