I have a Luxman L-590AX MKII, and I was listening to Triumvirat's 'Spartacus' cd. It is rather thin sounding, so I hit the loudness button. So much more enjoyable. There, I said it. I was fervently attached to the 'Line Straight' setting on my amp. But my audiophile street cred is now shot.
Maybe even worse, I flipped the -2db switch on the back of my Legacy Focus SE's, and I'm enjoying the slight reduction.
These were separate incidents, unrelated to one another.
I feel better having told someone out there.
Thank you...
