On a different genre, this one has an excellent guitar, right up close, and a voice that is immediate.

This one has a miked guitar, just slightly full. The voices are amazing, the sound is as live, in a garage, really really good.

Clicking this link will provide a real test for ones ability to reproduce percussion, starting at 1:10. The sense of sound stage, dynamics, timbre, accuracy over a descent bandwidth will be tested.

Neal Peart is not bad either. Lots of different instruments in his solo.

Thanks Nick. he is good.

Besides sounding great, open, dynamic, see if you can find the one squeaker note mistake in this piece.

Steve,
It seems maybe at the 2:50 mark, but otherwise I didnít notice anything. Thanks for posting.

Did not mean to put you on the spot Nick. I meant it as a general audience question.

I found two, one at 6:33, but in fairness it was a recording volume change, not orchestra problem.

The second one was at 10:32. A coronet seems to hit the wrong note, I think. I love mistakes because it makes the music seem more real, or live to me. I don't know if I should feel that way, but I do.

Here is one that shows several mistakes, but only after the intermission halfway through, 6:30 and on. See if you can spot multiple goofs, but not necessarily wrong notes.
