Natalie Merchant at the Beacon
« on: March 12, 2016, 09:14:32 AM »
Anybody else see Natalie Merchant at the Beacon Theatre last night?
What a show, played almost 2.5 hours. She hasn't lost much at 51, she sounded great! Her voice just does it for me, love her!

Seen Jason Isbell 2 weeks ago at the Beacon played real good, good songwriter.

My son bought tickets for us to go see Joe Bonamassa at the Trop. in AC late May, can't wait!

Life is good,
Joe

Someone really knows how to enjoy life, Joe!  I've never been to the Beacon, and all those names you mentioned are somewhat unfamiliar to me.  Not in my alley! :duh

Campy and I saw the poster for this show when we went to the Beacon last week to see Steven Wilson. I would have loved to see Natalie, but this weekend was just too full of stuff to do, my daughter was home from college for spring break.

What did she play?

She played songs from her solo albums. Tigerlily, Ophelia, Motherland, and Natalie Merchant.
Her band played real good and she also had a string quartet.

I was impressed, her voice was as good as ever.

Great Show! My wife and I really enjoyed it.
