Can't tell really. The wind is blowing so much that I see both drifts and bare spots on my deck.

What is actually very funny is seeing the birds at the bird feeder. They are having hell's own time trying to land on it as the wind is gusting, both overshooting and overcompensating. When a really big gust comes along it's like a bird explosion in the air with birds being blown in different directions.
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you'll have to blow your nose.

I spent 3 days hiking in the Adirondacks this weekend, I actually lost two pounds from sweating!

regarding clothes...hiking is like audio...they have high end clothes!
Merino wool is my favorite....

climbing peaks in the winter may not be for everyone, but I highly recommend climbing a peak in nice weather, even a small one, the pain and sweat and fatigue all disappear when you are on top...
and it is addidictive

I used to wear heavy cotton/spandex socks, say medium weight, for walking/hiking.  Until I used merino-based hiking socks.  Your feeet will tell you the improved difference below.  No kidding! :duh

I second that.  I spent many days hiking with my both of my sons' Boy Scout troops and can definitely confirm that a good pair of hiking socks is a blessing. :thumb:

thanks Barry.
Currently working on a VW cabriolet .
no rust but tired.
rebuilt every part of the suspension, all new parts new manual steering rack, rebuilt shifter.
engine is tired so thinking about a VR6 or maybe a small Garrett for the i4.
parts are so cheap....of course reworking internals for a turbo gets expensive!
the car is light and a blast to drive, such a simplicity about it makes for a car that is fun to drive...not too fast but the directness of the feel, the way it shifts and steers,  makes it feel great.  And the look on peoples faces when they  see an older car fixed up is priceless, as well as tooling around with the top down and my kids screaming with joy as we speed along at what seems faster than we really are going!
something to leave the kids........................

without the expense of audio as a hobby leaves so much more money for other fun things :thumb:

You mean Rocky Mountains National Park?  You may need more than wool sox.  One time I was up there in July, and the old highway we tried to go was still not open (still snow-bound I think).
