What does one do with one of the worst formats ever to come out?

Remember these? The Philips CD-i player that could be used for gaming, videos, CD player and a few other things?

I never did get all the way through Burn Cycle
Movies were ok but black backgrounds had a lot of saturation.

So what do I do with it now

Use the chassis for another project?

Have one really large and heavy paperweight or a light boat anchor?

Well I guess I could hold onto it and let one of my kids have it for a CD player. Maybe someday ill try to finish Burn Cycle
It's been around for quite a while, early 90's I believe when they first came out.
A decent CD player but has some bloat in the bass.
I can just add it to my collection with my Beta VCR and 10 lb VCR camcorder

Units are selling (not just being offered) for around $100.  Really.

I interviewed with Philips about a position as a product representative for CD-1.  It was a really strange interview, almost like a pyramid scheme presentation.  The interviewers were pitching the device as much as they were seeking people to sell it.  I thought it was a bizarre combination of formats and passed.  (One of my better career decisions.)

I just looked on eBay and there are a few of them where people are asking $200. I can see someone who has a large collection of movies and games wanted to grab a backup.
I don't think I'll go through the trouble of trying to sell it but its interesting to see what these bring in. At best, they are a neat novelty item.
