A suggested new topic that maybe can be pinned. Over at AC once there was the creation of a long list of all the web addresses of where people went to look for advice or just to check out new gear. Maybe we could do the same? It would be helpful to have these all stored in one place, maybe with short comments as to why we like or don't. I just lost all my favorites, after saying that FIrefox was bug-free :(
I go most often to 6Moons. The site is pretty, well organized and pretty thorough. I also happen to like the editor and approve of his philosophy and willingness to try out all kinds of stuff.

Do you want quantity or quality?
Of all of these sites, why do you like them, what do they have to offer.. who is consistent? Whose ears do you feel like you know? What good are they? ;)

You asking me  Well I troll them all regularly but I have a weakness for 6Moons. It's kind of a souped-up version of early Absolute S. I am hard put to give an order or why (or why not) I actually learn a lot more from forums but I need the constant fix of hearing about new gear (feeding the lust to be honest). Fortunately I can't afford any of it otherwise I would be surrounded by equipment and totally bewildered. Some reviewers write better than others, which attracts me. To be honest it's too early in the am to say much more!

Sonic Flair. Sorry this thread is going nowhere...I seem to have initiated something and then not follow up :(

goodsound.com (great for 2nd systems, newbies)
soundstage.com (I particularly like Doug Scheneider, has other spin off audio review sites)
ecoustics.com (an incomplete compulation of reviews from several sources)

Nice list mac, thanks. I had forgotten about some of those, like Daily Audiophile. That's the site that once had a page showing audiophile classified listings from all Craig's Lists across the country. They asked him to take it down after a couple weeks, but it worked great while it lasted. Looks like he uses similar technique to mine fresh news from audio websites.

Thanks guys, great idea. I just bookmarked almost every one (I had some already) and now when I'm not listening I'll be spending even more time reading on the computer. I still enjoy the paper mags too especially TAS, as Stereophile continues to transition into its "Advertisers whim mode" and the $795 Japanese receivers... What a pity. Oops, meant to say Chinese, et al. Whatever....

its all just paid advertisements, I read them but don't put too much into it. I feel the entire industry is ethically corrupt.
