RE: David Crosby's "Here If You Listen" album
Tmazz, what a timely mention of David Crosby's "Here If You Listen" album. I've been a David Crosby fan for a long time. Felt his Byrds' songs were some of the best that group did. Loved his CSN and CSNY material as well as his 1st solo LP.
Was excited to find his 2014 album "Croz" at a record store, this a 2 LP album. Although the fidelity and production were excellent, I just could not get into the music. It was in a quite different place than his past material and lacking his magically addictive vocals. I don't mind different as musicians grow and change. In this case, though, he went in a direction different than my tastes.
Just read a rave review about "Here If You Listen" I think in TAS (or Stereophile?) which got me warm and fuzzy about acquiring it. But have hesitated due to my reaction to "Croz". Tmazz if you've listened to "Croz" wondering if the music is similar to" Here If You Listen?" Thanks for any thoughts per this you have!
