Title: What do you think about this new speaker design?
Post by: Bemopti123 on July 15, 2007, 12:20:02 PM
I bumped into this speaker plant.  They seem to a lot of bang for the buck:

Although 3K is no chump change, brother they do offer plenty of features at that.  Compare that to the outfit out of German that had the same idea less the DSP.

Good read, nice design concept. Sounds like a pretty good bargain with DSP xover included. I like the idea of dipole speaker. My room acoustics are driving me crazy.

Maybe we'll see him in Denver??
Thanks

I have no idea what that'd sound like... but according to their site, I'd like it a lot, go figure! ;)
Are they going to be in Denver?  I'd love to hear these... the concept sounds promising.

I did some meta sound quality review and according to some people at AA, it did not sound good?  That is the same verdict I had about the Bastanis Outfit when they showed up in NJ back in 2006?  Maybe some people are finicky, but just from reading the Emerald website, they do offer lots of bang for the buck.  Maybe some people who will get to Denver this Fall would give an update in how it sounds.

Speakers are a tough nut to crack. When you get it right, or find something different, the response is usually strong. The concept looks great, but "That's why we run the races." It would be fun to hear them!!
