Going to try an experiment here, since I cannot link my selection from Tidal.

Danish National Orchestra     Diva Dance  (from the fifth element) master

and

Superstition Mike Dawes (not the live version, album What just happened)

I wonder how many will be able to find them?

cheers

steve

Found them both on Qobuz.  :D

For those who can't find it on Tidal or another, here is a different, live version on YT premium that should give one
a great indication of how transparent and natural one's system is. This is a wonderful quality recording.

We've seen Tommy at least 10 times and he'll be on the Bonamassa Mediterranean cruise in August.  Always a great show!  The man defines acoustic guitar dynamic range.

Very nice quality recording P.I. Much appreciated.

Here are some piano recordings by Fanya Lin. The piano is so nice and rich, transparent, natural, and so dynamic.
No compression here. (The selections vary in melody qualities.)

These selections are sure to test one's system across the audio spectrum.

This should test one's system, amazingly open, transparent, great dynamics, incredibly
natural in for YT. One is right in the audience, live.

This selection will test your entire system. If one's system is deficient or
exaggerating in the audio realm and/or beyond, it should show up.

All 88 keys are played and all the keys should sound like a real piano.

One of my biggest frustrations with Audio Nervosa is that you guys come up with all of these great YouTube links and I can't figure out how to play them on anything other that the cheap $35 computer speakers hooked up to my desktiop,

The only way to get digital files into my main system is via Roon through a Raspberry Pi endpoint running Ropieee.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to pay youtube  music via Roon?

Hi Tom,

Let's see if we can help and get something to work for you. It is not through Roon, but should work.

I have two ways to get YT from your computer to your stereo system. I am using win 7, but
should work with win 10.

1. One can connect a cable from the computer analog output and into your stereo input. Even if it
is a speaker output on the computer, it should give you some sound. I would use aux input on the
stereo.

2. If you have a usb port and external dac that accepts usb, then connect the usb to a dac input and
analog output of your external dac to your stereo aux input. Even a cheap usb cable should work pretty
good, say from walmart.

Can you work with either suggestion Tom?

Unfortunately the computer is not in the same room as the stereo. The connection between the computer and the Raspberry Pi end point is via ethernet.

I guess I could use a laptop in the stereo room but that would involve getting behind the rack and moving the USB cable in the dac every time I wanted to listen.

For all out there.

One other possibility is to purchase a 2nd dac and connect it to the laptop and preamp aux input.  That way one could
just use the preamplifier selector switch. This assumes Tom has an extra input in the preamp to connect to. It also assumes Tom wishes to spend for a second dac.  :)

Just an idea.

Just saw this Brennan device recently. This device will also play YouTube and maybe the connections are such that you can incorporate it into your main system. You can control it via the front panel, a small remote control or a web interface.
