The Century 100's were the first hi end speaker I heard in 1975-6 at Newmark and Lewis in Flushing. They were the best sounding then. But I knew nothing bout Hi end
I remember when they were selling them out of the small sound room in the back of Record World in Roosevelt Field during the same time frame. With the orange foam grills. Also worked in a couple of different recording studios back then. JBLs were the gold standard in control room monitors back the, along with McIntosh power amps.
