Hi All,
My brother got together with his old band-mates from HS and I have been scraping off the rust and playing drums with them.
Allmans, Doobies, Steely Dan, Santana, Dylan... I have barely played in the last 30 years so it's been great fun and a great challenge to get back into it.
Anyway after a few practices we are actually playing a gig, in front of actual people no less who aren't blood relatives, in beautiful Clinton, NJ, on October 7. 12-4, free, outdoors.
No mikes on the drums so I'll be going with the Audiophile Purist approach.
We are setting up a few doors from my brother's stereo store, so you can go in there and play if you are in town.
I'm not saying we are particularly good but we are sincere about trying to play homage to a time and to musicians that I think deserve it.
Fingers crossed for the weather
We'll be setting up on the patio shown in the link below. Waterfall = lots of noise - not good, but a very sweet little town.
-Mike
