WTB: 300b and 2a3 matched pair tubes

Anyone looking to get rid of their 2a3 and 300b tubes with low hrs let me know.  I busted a 300b tube when lifting the Ming Da (should have taken the tubes out before lifting).

I too am looking for a pair of 2A3 matched tubes as well. If anyone has a pair they want to get rid of I'd be interested. I have a pair of Sovtek 2A3s and they are fine sounding but I'm looking to get a taste of other 2A3s. Thanks

Please let me know what you have lying around. I'd be willing to give the Shuguang 2a3 tubes you have a shot. Just not the Black Treasures. I had a pair of Black Treasure 300B tubes and they were not for me.

Dean, what did you not like about treasure 300Bs? I liked them on Manley 300B SE/PP amps because they sounded clear and clean, but maybe not as rich harmonics as other top 300Bs? idk  But I didn't try any other expensive ones. I tried Sophia and another european brand that came with the amps, maybe svetlana, can't remember now. Had to be cheap ones because those amps needed 4! Treasure was much better than the euro ones.   But I generally like regular Shuguang tubes too. Their cheapest 12AU7 is my favorite!

If you have any 2a3 tube pairs I'm open to them now. One of the current Sovtek tubes I have is starting to malfunction and the Valve Art 2A3 back-ups I bought are noisy.

Hey Professor, I just wanted to give you a quick update. Based on this post and JimBones giving a Shuguang 6SN7s a shot I re-opened my mind regarding Shuguang 300B tubes.

I was able to acquire these Shuguang 300B tubes

I'm happier for now vs. the EHx Gold 300Bs I had before. So much more clarity and detail in the upper mid and top end. Keeping my fingers crossed the microphonics won't be so bad.

I just have to say this in a public forum. Dealing with Hugh at ACA was a super pleasant experience. I just bought a pair of 2a3 tubes from Hugh and he packed them VERY well. Communication was top notch too.

I got the 2A3 tubes into the Opera Consonance integrated amp and it is awesome. So much better than the Sovtek's I had.
