I had posted this in AVFORMS earlier and thought I would share here as well.
Since replacing my rear projection TV with a wall mount LCD above the fireplace and my bookshelf speakers with wall mounted speakers designed for flat panels I was not happy with the sound. It did not sound right to me. I thought it sounded better when I had the rear projection TV and bookshelf speakers on stands. The later was in a different room location. I want my system to perform it’s best with music.

Graph 1_Room LR. Thinking I had poor quality speakers I began researching other wall mount type speakers to replace my existing ones. After several weeks I though I would test my bookshelf speakers, which I still had, and in the same location as my wall mounted speakers. I got similar test results. I concluded it was not the speakers and that I would be wasting my money on buying more expensive speakers when I was surely to get similar results with new ones.
I then read an article on the Copeland DRC 205 in an audio magazine, which impressed me and was exactly what I thought, would solve my sound issue. I contacted the Canadian distributor and ordered without an audition and based solely on the magazine article. Risky…yes. Worth the risk…yes.

Still not satisfied with the bass response, I wanted to go lower in the bass department; I replaced the subwoofer with one of better quality.
