Glad the company is providing a valuable service. There may be cassette tapes and reel to reels boxed up somewhere in the house, but the machines to play them are long gone

I really never considered cassettes a high end or quality medium to listen to music. I found them to be great for portable music or ways to get my favorite songs off of the radio but that was it.

+1.  even the "high end" tandberg, nak, etc., tape decks were mid-fi at best, imo.

I had a tandberg deck and it was mid-fi. That was in the late 70s iirc.
