Well I talked to Russ White and Brian Donagan who own TPA and this is what they said.

You have to calculate the Voltage drop and dissipation for R1-R4. With the stock values the max practical output current will be < 1A

To get more you will need to use lower value resistors or simply jumper them with wire. The penalty for this is slightly less noise rejection.

If you are using the digital output from the Squeezebox there is absolutely no good reason not to use the stock power supply.

So I can use the TPA PSU I just have to change the resistor values to be able to support probably up to 2 amps.
