I've been pulling out stacks of CD's and picking a few songs from each and burning them to my PC (Windows Media Player). Then synching the whole shebang to my new sansung Infuse 4G smartphone. Damn, it's taking all of it!
I made 3 generic playlists: Jazz, Rock, Prog
I must have a weeks worth of music on this thing now and I never, ever want to have to do this again. It is a pain, but now I have most anything I may want to listen to in one place, and I can plug it in for a party and not worry that I have to change a disk out.
