Music Discussion / Re: One of my favorite pieces of all times...

Beautiful music, indeed. One of my favorite types of recordings is that of a chorus and specifically recorded in a church or cathedral. There is nothing like hearing the chorus and orchestra as a whole and then being able to make out the individual voices and instruments and reproduced in a holographic manner.

Nice music. I don't think the freemasons deserved it though.

Sam Cardon and Kurt Bestor are heavy weights in movie, documentary scoring and commercial production.  They are also great composers in their own rights:

Manufacturer News / Re: Magnepan 1.7 dspNexus 2x8 DSP Crossover project
« Last post by HAL on March 25, 2024, 08:10:28 PM »
The Magnepan 1.7's are playing music.

The super tweeter ribbons are disconnected since the one in the left panel is open circuit.  Running the tweeter panel 400Hz and up.  Sounds pretty good to me even without it for testing.

The speaker is EQ'd for flat response.  That can be varied to taste.

The planar woofer to tweeter time offset is corrected as is the servo subs to the planars time offset.

The dspNexus with the AKM AK4493 DAC's are running now.  Just updated the firmware in the EA dspNexus 2x8 with the AKM AK4499EX DAC's and will be swapped in tomorrow for listening trials.

This is the fun part!  🙂
