‘Good Feelin’ To Know’ album by Poco was a favorite of mine. It was in constant rotation in the house growing up. I never understood why it wasn’t more popular. RIP Paul.
I guess I’ll give it a listen later today.

This is almost becoming a daily routine. Yesterday we lost Mike Finnegan, Hammond B3 virtuoso. Mike played with Jimi Hendrix, Janis, Cher, CSNY, Dave Mason, Bonnie Raitt and many others. He was considered one of the most soulful modern day B3 players around. I was fortunate to see him many times as he toured with Dave Mason throughout the 70's. Take a listed to the live version of Goin Down Slow (Dave Mason Certified Live). RIP Mike

Don Everly passed yesterday at the age of 84.

As a young teenager I loved the song "Kathy's Clown".

RIP Don, you and Phil can hit those harmonies in thirds again.

I’ve enjoyed the Everly Brothers since I was a kid. Beautiful harmonies…good memories.

They are of the hit, "Wake Up Little Susie", correct?

Not really my scene, but indeed very sad.

You are correct.

The song was ordered banned from Boston radio stations by the Catholic archbishop of Boston in 1957 (the power of the church in Boston was incredible back then). The lyrics were supposedly too suggestive.

Charlie Watts, the Stones drummer died earlier today.
It seems that all of my favorite groups are losing members these days.

I just learned that Rick Craig of Selah Audio had a fatal heart attack.

I've known Rick for about 25 years.  We didn't always see eye to eye on audio, but he was always kind and a great guy to talk to.

I will miss him greatly 😓

I only knew of Rick from AC. The seemingly rapid fire nature of deaths on our RIP thread has been a bit difficult to follow. It reminds me that it wasn’t seemingly that long ago when I met a young, vibrant  AJ Conti of Basis at CES and then he was gone from a heart attack.

Rick had his supporters and detractors, but one thing I know personally- the guy could sure put together a crossover.  Sorry for the loss to his family and friends.

Masters of the B3:

Lonnie Smith
Jimmy Smith
Richard "Groove" Holmes
Billie Preston

All of them greats and all of them gone.  Somehow the synth emu;ations of those tone-wheel giants just ain't the same.!

Damn... 😞

Hang in there Booker, Al, Bill, Felix, Stevie, Rod, Gregg and all of you that still "get it"!

I recently played organ on this collaboration of a Ray Charles and Nora Jones tune. Billy Preston played on the original. big shoes to fill. I'm no Biilly P but I felt like I was channeling him when recording it.
