Mazz, Yes is one of my absolute favorites, although I can't listen to anything they did after 1984 without cringing. Any of the incarnations: ABWH, Squire and White with the Russian dudes, the eleven member combined effort of "Union" and anything else they've done in the last 25 years (!) has left me completely flat.
Only Bruford's recent work had done anything for me. His band Earthworks explores jazz from a prog rock angle, without going through the painful machinations of the "Canterbury Sound" (ie National Health, Hatfield and the North, Gong, Egg, and, later, Brand X) Check out Bruford performing with his eponymous band in this video of "Footloose"
