Theoretically, What Should Sound Better?
« on: November 27, 2018, 05:55:31 PM »
iPod touch, loaded with apple lossless encoded files, is the device.
In theory, would the headphone out to an Integrated amp be superior to using a Bluetooth receiver which would then be inputted to said Integrated.

The iPod classic had many output options: headphone jack, 30 pin fixed level line output, 30 pin digital out when attached to a docking device, then on to the DAC of your choosing. The latter two sounded pretty good for what it was...

The new lightning connector does not allow for these outputs. Has anyone found a good alternative to up the SQ of the iPod touch, aside from ditching it and joining the 21st century of streaming/computer audio? Thanks for any thoughts...

For me after trying to make that sound right just decided a server was best. Easy as pie. Install server go to computer device installed, set parameters and play music. The server offers SS drive, linear power supplies, MQA, Roon, Qbuz, double DSD and everything else. Besides up-gradeable for future improvements.
