When I've needed a wider base for a turntable than my stand, I've placed a maple cutting board on top and let it overlap a few inches.
24x18x1.75 at Amazon for about $100 or 24x18x2.25 for $130. Obviously, smaller is cheaper.   Overstock.com usually has better deals.

The Pangea stand I bought doesn’t have the metal cross braces and I’d be hesitant to add the butcher block on top with this stand. I asked Audio Advisor if I could simply buy the cross braces, but they aren’t sold separately. I’m looking at Overstock.

Hi all.
When in Montreal in 2020 in a small one bedroom apartment,
I will buy a TV (55''), a BluRay player and probably a receiver.
The furniture shown  is what I want to buy from IKEA
we (My wife and me) will decided which one fits best our living room size and furniture.
The black unit is because I could not find a white one on their website,
but I want white.
The speakers are floor standing units.
Those IKEA unit is what I want to pay,
I have no budget for 500$ + unitand I like the wide - lower unit
than the narrower and higher unit.

Note:
I have now on planet Vietnam in my listening room the same unit as the one in black
and it does the job and it's sturdy and rugged enough for what I use it for.

I like the black unit. Very simple and stylish. Will take a look again at the IKEA website.

Hi all.
The black one, forgot the model, is enough for the TV on top
with a small decoration and on the bottom the BluRay, the receiver
and some miscellaneous accessories.
Later I will add a shelve (Lack) over the set up to accommodate
the headphones and maybe a frame or two of my wife to
make my wife think I love her.
OUPS... If she read this, I'm dead meat !

Hi Barry.
Those DIY shelves sure look nice and sturdy.
Unfortunately like Nick, I am not (Now) a DIY man.
Maybe once in Canada, if we buy a triplex with garage,
I will have a little space of my own to do some woodworking.

Thanks, Jack. I’m taking a look right now. This company is in the City of Industry....within maybe 15 or 20 miles where I used to live. I miss California a bit, but I couldn’t afford living there nowadays.

FWIW... Salamander Designs has a line that's similar to what Barry put together... at least for equipment racks. Obviously, a bit more spendy than DIY but... Check out the Archetype Audio Stands:
