You must be psychic, Charles. I was again looking at Michael Fremer’s Axpona videos last night about
this unit. Seems like a great product for a great price. The owner of the company said he underwrites some of the cost as he owns another company and feels everyone should have access to a reasonably priced ultrasonic cleaner. His cleaner also can’t clean more than two LPs at a time as he believes having records close together decreases the efficiency of the ultrasonic fluid.
He’s been an audiophile since age 9.
The company also makes cables.

I believe that any serious vinyl person should now own one. The ones at 3K to 4K and more are just luxury items that do the same thing. seems like a no-brainer to me.

This could really upset the US cleaning industry. The better DIY setups cost almost as much so why bother with them. I'm not a fan of his drying method as show in the Fremer video but pickup a vacuum RCM and your all set. Please post your opinion once you get your demo as my credit card is ready especially with your AN discount.

Should be in tomorrow [ Friday ] hoping it is what the say.

U.S. cleaners are a big step up from the standard vacuum cleaners. I've been using a DIY one for a couple of years now, and they are just stunningly good. With Charles' discount, this is the first commercial cleaner that comes close to DIY value (although they can still be built for ~$200). 3 minutes in the tub followed by a quick vacuum and you've got vinyl as clean as you're going to get it.
BUT BE WARNED!! These are dangerously loud even if it's way above the human range. Wear protection when using.

Well hopefully the Kirmuss will be quiet. We will find out. My first experiment is to clean two indentical LPs. One with VPI machine other with Kirmuss. Then listen. Then re-clean the VPI cleaned LP with Kirmuss and listen for any improvement.
As of now that Fedex truck is out there somewhere.

Just arrived. Heavy box. Packed like pro. Where is my bottle of distilled water ?? I expect my Lps to be cleaner than clean, better than better and new and improved as well. We shall see   or hear.

Let us know Charles, at this price might be the alternative to DIY.
Look for to your thoughts.

Charles, they are dangerous like X-rays or UV that you can't see. The dB levels of most US cleaners are well over 100, but you can't hear it. But just because you don't know it's there doesn't mean it's not doing damage. I happened to try out some hearing aids with frequency extenders... reaches out to high frequencies and reproduces them octaves lower so those with high frequency loss can at least know there's something there. My cleaner that I had never thought loud, ran me out of the room. It was like running a chain saw inside a walk in closet.
When I did a bit of research, I found that the dB levels are not even close to safe.

We have a cat. Any idea if this could be irritating to the cat (or dog) or could potentially damage the animal’s hearing?
-
It's hard to say with pets. I know my dog didn't like it back when he could hear. He'd hear it from two rooms away and come running to bark at it. I would have to shut a door to keep him happy.
Info on Google is mixed. Some audiologist don't think it has negative effects, but some manufacturers of industrial cleaners say to use protection.
I simply put on a pair of muffs, since I've experienced how loud it actually is. What hearing I have, I want to keep.
Regardless, it's a great tool, and one that everyone serious about vinyl should get. But like most powerful tools, use with care.

I just realized this thread is under "Dealer Ads".
So let me summarize:
US cleaners are a big step up in pristine vinyl.
Buy Charles' record cleaner.
Spend an extra $10 for a pair of ear muffs.

Alrighty Charles, it's Tuesday already!!!!! I'll bet ya a whole sawbuck that it's the cleanest and quietest your vinyl has ever sounded (at least that's my experience).
You really ought to sell a bunch of these. :thumb:

OK verdict in. Noise is not louder than VPI vacum. Clean ? My LPs never sounded as good. In direct comparison to VPI cleaned and Kirmuss cleaned less noise with Kirmuss. Eliminated some pops and clicks but not pop from scratches.
The old records in mint condition benefited the most. A six step process for old records. A two step process for new LPs. Grab a beer and super clean those LPs. Two at once oh my !!
List price $795, AN price less 20% plus shipping.
If you cherish your LP collection or just want ultra clean LPs look no further. Very well done .

Charles, did you just use distilled water or did you add the isopropyl alcohol and or the "Anti Fungal" surfactant?
Thx!

Thanks for the discount Charles!!

OK verdict in. Noise is not louder than VPI vacum.
I'm not sure you are catching my point. Of course the audible noise is not excessive, but the ultra sonic cleaners are putting out high volumes of noise that you can't hear. More importantly, it's in excess of 100 db's in the near vicinity of the cleaner. Just because you can't see U.V or Xray frequencies doesn't mean it can't damage you. Please advise your customers to use hearing protection when using any ultra sonic cleaners.
And a 20% discount, made a good deal into a great one.... :thumb:

Thanks for heads up. I will consult Kirmuss for a definitive answer. I tell what though, my LPs never sounded better.

Much to do about nothing actually. For the limited time used no worry. Cleaner than clean is the end result. If one is concerned wear ear plugs when cleaning but really not required.
10 sold to date what ya waiting for ?

Your LPs are dirty nah nah nah nah nah.

The Cable Co. has them in stock. Call and ask for Jason.
-
The frequencies couple to everything around them, which brings them into the audible range. I think they are loud as hell, the ones I have heard.
