The Love Scene from "Vertigo" by Bernard Herrmann

I'm too young to know the movie Vertigo ;), but I know this music from a favorite TV show, "Supermassive Black Holes" documentary, this recording is played behind the CGI scene when Andromeda and Milky Way collide, 2 billion years from now. I heard it on the radio today. It's a good album!

More scary movie soundtracks, by request -  everybody's digging these!  :thumb:

Edit: This is perfect audiophile music! You want the ultimate adrenaline sonic stimulation? Then play movie soundtracks from scary movies! It's the music that makes them scary anyways afterall! This one is extremely dynamic, extremely full range, lots of loud scary dissonance, violent staccato passages, rumbly scary bass themes, etc. Turn it up!

An album of all ballads, and the first album from this trio after the death of their original bassist Scott LaFaro. Chuck Israels (bs) plays great, if a little pensive. Bass is way hot in the mix, panned far right typical for 60s magical hifi stereo LPs.  the volume is a bit distracting. Tape hiss is noticeable sometimes on this. Absolutely superb playing by Bill Evans. Harmonically probing, rhythmically precise and fearless. Evans' performance is on par with his Kind of Blue sides and the music feels just as serious, unlike the LaFaro sides which seem more lighthearted to me.

Well that sucks, especially with the heat we have been having. Hope it wasn't out for too long.

Thanks Tom. Luckily, it was only out for about 90 minutes, limited to a small area around us. Sounded like 3 transformer explosions maybe about a 1/2 mile away. Maybe someone hit a tree or something. Weather was calm and dry, hasn't been too hot lately, but heat's back today.

Enjoy the scary music!  :)
