Woo Audio has just come our with what could be an excellent digital combo.
The WDS-1 DAC and WTP-1 transport. Both list for $1199 each. Dedicated Redbook at 24/96 with a 120 db noise floor. Has a USB 2.0 as well for the computer in ya. Me an SPDIF fan so the big interest. THe pricing is attractive and Woo makes good stuff.
Some preliminary comments from Harry Pearson, Steven Stone and others are extremely positive.
Getting the pair in to check out. If you can make the Feb. Audiosyndrome/Rave meeting you can hear it there in a second system in the loft.
Still a big fan of no over or upsampling. Just Redbook for me. Not a dealer.
