April Fools Day at Parts Express
« on: November 11, 2014, 08:12:24 AM »
Got an email from Parts express today announcing "The All New Parts Express Wishlist!" woohoo!!

I figure, it's about time. I can "save a cart" but it's awkward to find the cart again and to create one. I probably have 100 bookmarks that point to PE webpages in my browser. I have thought to myself many times that it would be a welcome convenience for Parts Express to have a real wishlist.

I have 10 pages of wishlist on Amazon, and about 100 CDs waiting for my money over on Arkivmusik.com. I frequently browse through the wishlists to find items to add to an order. I would never remember all the things I have saved on various wishlists.

I look on their website for a wishlist link... Near the buy button? Nope. Near the sign-in link? Nope. Search for wishlist? Nope. I go back to the email, and click the big red button that says "Get It Now!" That opens a page explaining the wishlist:
http://www.parts-express.com/wishlist

And a link to the actual Wishlist:

   OMG - Is today April Fools Day?  Did I miss Christmas?

Hmmmm.... What is going on here? Am I in the Twilight Zone? Is this 1979?

What would be AWESOME would be if they provided delivery by carrier pidgeon. So very "Retro"
