AER DISC ENERGIZER
« on: September 26, 2010, 08:05:07 AM »
Well we do not know how it works from the literature but it does in spades. This little beauty cleans up the digitizes you thought you didn't have.
The sound is fuller yet clarity is increased. A tough act for sure but this baby delivers. sibilance is rendered in a natural unexaggerated way. No sharp Ss or Ts. Bass is fuller and more tunefull.
The price of $840 retail is the tough part IMO. But Dam I want one. A small improvement but significant enough to raise the Nervosa. You want it. Yes you do. TRY ONE. You be the judge.

I've heard the Acoustic Revive RD3 Demagnetizer work with my own ears on my own disk. The really odd thing was that my disc was CD-R, no metal in it. But it sounded noticeably better.

I have used, and been very happy with, the Bedini UltraClarifier for close to 10 years and I hears all of the same types of effects that have been described in this thread as attributes of discs treated with the RD3. Having not heard the RD3 directly, I cannot comment on the magnitude of the changes on discs treated by each unit, but the changes themselves are similar in nature (and the Bedini is 1/4 the price.  :D )

One thing I can say is that the 5 second cycle time of the RD3 sounds really nice. By the time the Bedini gets up to speed and spins down you are looking at close to a minute. While this doesn't sound like much when we are just talking about it, it seems like forever when you are standing there looking at it.

Charles,

If you can get access to the RD3 again and want to do a side by side comparison with the Bedini, you can always borrow mine. Just give me a call.

All AN members $500

Our Japanese distributor of Eastern Electric products,Mr Ryozo Kobayashi turned me on to this little wonder. Even the Japanese audio guys were skeptical when they first brought this out but it has won numerous awards for Audio accessory. It sells very well in Japan.
