Anyone still use their conditioners? Still relevant?
Who can forget the Tice Clock? What was in that thing?

Pioneers in power conditioning I believe.

I remeber seeing these at Lyric HiFi. Impressive looking pieces of gear

George Tice was a member of the AudioSyndrome before he started the company. He wound his transformers using square wire because the flat sides allowed him to pack the windings closer together which provided higher flux density. This was pretty progressive thinking back in the early 80s, as was the whole idea of doing power line conditioning at all.

You're right Emil, he really was one of the pioneers in his field.

I still use a Tice Power Block for my power conditioning needs. It isn't as elegant as what is out there today but I still use it. The one tweak I had done was changing out of the original outlets for Hubbell based Porter Port outlets.

When I was putting together my system years ago I didn't have much money and the Tice Power Block fit the bill. I remember driving to Park Slope Brooklyn to pick it up and I had to walk down a 6th floor walk up carrying the Tice. What a work out.

Still very effective devices. Good is good. For digital though I strongly recommend a PIAudio Digibuss plugged into the Tice.
I have a demo in NY if you  ever desire to hear one. :D
