Thanks Nick
A little about myself. I am a lifelong Florida resident.  I grew up when Records were the only game in town.  I played music and worked as a recording and live sound engineer in my younger days. My kids are grown now and about 5 years ago, I bought myself a nice vintage Pioneer system and started listening to records again. Lots of gear has come and gone in those 5 years but I still have the Pioneer kit in the bedroom. My main listening system now consists of a modified Thorens TD-160 with an SME M2-9 tone arm, Sound-Smith Aida cart, BAT VK-P5 phono stage, BAT VK-3i preamp, BAT VK-200 amp and Yamaha NS-1000m speakers. Cable is DH labs and Neotech.  I am an obsessive tweaker and always trying to squeeze a bit more out of the rig. I came across this site in my search for a power conditioner and it looked like a nice place to hang out. I look forward to participating in the conversation and hope I can make a positive contribution. Thanks!

It is a very nice place to hang out. We pride ourselves on the respectful exchange of ideas with a minimum of BS.

I look forward to the participation of an obsessive tweaker.  As long as I have been doing this, there is always something else I can learn from someone else's journey.

Welcome aboard.

BTW - for someone who just been playing this game for 5 years you have assembled a nice little stable of products.

Tim,
We can always use a good tweaker here  :thumb: I like the selection of  equipment you have. Another very dilgent tweakster on the forum is gander aka Gary. He’s always trying stuff and a lot of it turns out pretty good. Please feel free to list any tweaks you’ve done, whatever the results may have been.

Tim,  welcome.

You'll find AN to be not the typical snarky audio site we run across on the net.  I hope you find AN to be one of "those" places you check when you hit the 'net in the morning!

Ya, Dave is a Pied Piper kinda guy and he'll never lead you astray.
He and his contemporaries here are a great group.
Welcome and like others here, am always in search of the lost chord.

You mentioned the Uber and I’ll say that it is likely the best audio product I’ve purchased in my 30+ years in this hobby.

Well, thank you!   :thumb:

I am blessed by all of the people that that ugly black box has led me to. It is a pretty darned good product and way underpriced for the marketplace.
