Title: What happened to Almarro Audio?
Post by: malloy on January 15, 2018, 10:21:07 PM
Does anyone have any idea about what happened to Almarro Audio of Japan? I can't find any info if they have closed down or just ceased distribution outside of Japan.

Great amps poor marketing. They are gone. Simple circuits so repair if needed a piece of cake. Should be going for cheap used but there is a cult following. Must be a reason.

Almost bought an 318B last week for $1350. Love the 6C33C tube. Maybe I'll get it, however just have too many amps on hand now. Hoye 1

Have also heard very positive things about these amps. Not sure how they’d mate with KEF LS 50s, but it’s an interesting idea.

Certainly are purdy. Look very expensive. If iI do spend oddles it will be Lamm ML-2 mono blocks. Until then the Qualiton A20i is all I need. Looking into 300B as well just for kicks however never know as Rethms like 300B.

Made by Rethm which I am a dealer for. $1750 is cheap for them. Out of production I believe.
