My mother loved this record. I think it was in my father's inheritance LP pile, gotta try to find it for tonight's listening session.

I enjoyed Glenn and his music. I understand his health was quite poor the last few years. RIP

Glen spent a lot of his youth here in Albuquerque. I saw him a few times when I was very young, but I can still remember him smiling on stage.  Alzheimer's is a cruel disease  :(

Rest in internal peace Cowboy. You will be sorely missed. We are lucky to have his music. Much underated IMHO. clean his vinyl and give it a whirl.

I'm with you Emil, I bought this album in Cali last year while on business.

Wichita Lineman - the world's first existential C&W song.

It was sad to hear of Glenn's passing. I knew he played backup for other bands early in his career, but I did not know he played with the Cascades in "Rhythm of the Rain" in 1962, one of my favorite tunes.

Quote
The song was to become "Rhythm of the Rain" and the musicians on the recording included the "Wrecking Crew" - Jim Owens on drums, Carol Kaye on bass and Glen Campbell on guitar - arranged by Perry Botkin, Jr.

He was one of a kind.
