I always thought Thiel's were expensive, back in the day. These were $10K speakers new, but I bet they would be $30K if sold today. $1300 is like paying freight to have them delivered and getting a speaker for free.

No way. The CS-6s that I have right now are already better than the CS-5s.

And BTW, if anyone out there is interested in them, it is a great price, but just remember that they are not an easy (or cheap) speaker to drive. They are very very demanding speakers. The have a very low impedance dip in the low end and as such require not only a large amount of power to drive them , but also an amp that is capable of feeding them a large amount of current.

Wonderful sounding speakers if they are driven by the right amp, but that is a big if, which usually comes with a significant price tag.
