Well getting the boot on AC is one thing, but shutting down the Yahoo Group is another thing entirely. I hadn't altered my mail settings but today Levi made a post to the Yahoo Group that I didn't get. The only reason I new it was there was because I went there to post to the group that we'd been shut down on AC and saw it then. Upon further investigation I discovered that my "email notifications" on the group had been turned off. I didn't change my notification settings, and according to Evan, neither did he. I have a feeling that the administrator went in and turned all email settings to off. Not fair in my book. At least send out a global email to the group and offer the admin duties to someone else if you're no longer interested in it. I sent Levi a PM on AC this afternoon, but have not yet gotten a reply from him.

Yup, Yahoo Groups e-mail must have been turned off. I got nothing either. I just posted a response this morning so if Barry turned things back on it should go out with the thread from the 1st 3 posters. I also added a Poll, so you should see that coming too.

What is most surprising is that there was no notification posted on AC that this happened. We need something there, perhaps on the Site Matters circle, to point people over to AN and the new group homebase. (OK, I posted one on "Site Matters", lets see if it stays or is flushed.)

But I think everyone will want to know what happened at AC. Levi owes it to everyone to let us know what the discussion was about that led to this. I doubt that there was any recent bad behavior, at least none that I saw. In fact I think Rave member posts over at AC had trickled down to almost nothing.

Many of us have been fed up with AC for quite a while now, so I doubt if it's any big loss. We have a new daddy over here at AN anyway and hopefully the old AC members will find there way here and liven up this place a bit.

Well I've heard from Levi in response to my PM over at AC. He asked Josh if it would be alright for me to take the reins of the Yahoo Group and Josh had no objections to it. I have not yet been given any indications that I've been made an admin of the group there though. Levi does post here at AN on occasion, but hasn't since all this transpired yesterday, so I guess we'll remain in the dark until if/when he decides to enlighten us. I'm hoping to get admin rights of the Yahoo Group soon, so that hopefully I can reactivate the email dispersal, or at least as an admin alert people to the fact that the email has been inactivated and have them reactivate it if they so choose.
