Wow, news to me as well. I designed and built Andys' store on E. 33rd. St many years ago. with Wall St. hurting and the economy in general I believe he is down sizing after his lease expired. He will be back.
There are some VG deals there now if one is in need. Maybe time to snatch up a Class "A" CDP from Esoteric, DCS or Zanden oh my. There is always Lyric.
Why worry we have Black Sand and The Home Theater Doc. BTW how is Shane ? Anyone hear from him ?

Shane came to Carl's on Sunday - he's not 100% yet, but I think he had fun.

Maybe Andy will ask you to do the new store, Charles? Stick with what works.  :thumb:

VPI record cleaner half price.
Sonos half price
Wadia iPod docks half price
Low end VTL preamp half price
Some nice stuff there...

Speaking as a dealer who knows what the cost is on most of that stuff, there are some killer deals to be had. If I had a bunch of money doing nothing, I would honestly look at buying a lot of his stock off of him as he is selling some of it under dealer cost.

I was there last Saturday, August 14th.  The store was a wreck!  2/3rds of the display space was empty already.  I was looking for a real bargain basement amp or integrated for a bedroom system and he wasn't even giving away "ice in the winter" pricewise on any of the 2 or 3 pcs. that he had in that "cheapo" price range.

Maybe (?) there were deals on the higher priced stuff, but I didn't really bother to ask.
